What started as a hobby and a way to creatively kill time has turned into a business, and I couldn't be anymore happy about it! I've been in love with photography for as long as I can remember, and it truly is a dream come true to turn my favorite talent into a business. I'm a natural light photographer specializing in portraiture, family pictures, couples, and seniors, but I do a lot more (just ask). If you think Kenzie Photographie would be a good fit for you, contact me!
FAQ
When will I get my pictures back?
You should receive your photos no longer than a week after your session or event, but will most likely get them back within five days.
How will I receive my pictures?
I'll put them on a disk and either drop the disk off at your house (if nearby) or send it in the mail.
Where will our session take place?
If you have a place you'd like to go to, we can go there! I have several places I like taking pictures at, so let me know of the feel of the photos you'd like and we can go from there! Note that a travel fee may apply if it's out of town.
What should I wear?
What ever you'd like! For portraits, I recommend solid colors and subtle patterns. For family pictures, it's always fun for everyone to match! For senior sessions I recommend a few outfits including a sports uniform or a dance costume if you'd like.
How much do you charge?
My prices are listed here. Although, I am flexible and can work with you in certain cases and around your budget.
How did you get into Photography?
I've always loved snapping away on a camera (thank goodness for digital photography), but I remember really taking a ton of pictures of random things around the age of 12. It wasn't until I got my first DSLR that I got serious about it and started to learn the technical side of photography.
When did you get your first camera?
I got my first DSLR for my 16th birthday (which in my opinion was far better than a car.) ;)
How old are you and what is your experience?
I'm 18! I've been at this (professionally) for a year and I can't wait to continue to grow this business and improve my skills! I've competed in a state photography contest twice and placed in the top three this last year.
What equipment do you have?
I really love using my 18-55mm and 50mm lenses and have my eye on a 70-300mm. My reflector is my best friend when it comes to outdoor shoots, and I also use other little gadgets here and there to help get a better shot. As far as photo editing goes, I use Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5.
Why Kenzie Photographie?
When naming my business, I wanted to have the title represent me but also be a bit different and quirky. I obviously opted for my name (or the name I'm most commonly called), and decided to spell photography wrong with an IE instead of a Y. I think it's fun and kind of sets me apart. Also, I'm not really a fan of generic photography business names. (i.e. First Name, Last Name, Photography.)
